A SPECIAL sub-committee set up by Kincardine and Deeside district council, to determine how best the £500,000 earmarked for leisure / recreation facilities in Stonehaven should be spent, has been "sounding out" the town's recreation ground trustees on their reaction to the possible building of an indoor bowling rink in the vicinity of their existing complex.
A six-lane rink is envisaged, it is believed, and if the project goes ahead, it would be with a view to the Trustees eventually becoming responsible for day-to-day administration.
Having mulled the matter over at a recent meeting, the Trustees unan
imously decided to accept the "overture".
